Back for another season, the K2 Orton has done exactly what we set out to do: redefine the snowboard boot's freeride/freestyle crossover. Tested and approved by Sage Kotsenburg, K2's Team Rider, he pushed the prototypes to their limits - riding lines in Alaska, performing feats in Jackson's BC, and traversing the whole of Brighton Resort like a playground.
Underfoot, K2's all-new heavy-duty Vibram® V5 outsole delivers state-of-the-art traction and durability in all conditions and on all terrain. This Vibram® rubber compound includes at least 30% recycled rubber. Better grip, better environmental protection. The V5 rubber outsole is wrapped around a midsole composed of traditional EVA and K2's exclusive Harshmellow™ material - helping to absorb impact, increase cushioning and comfort when snowboarding.
The Orton is absolutely packed with technology. It starts with a zonal closure system and articulated cuff to reduce boot distortion and ensure constant heel support. The lacing of the boot features the H4/M3 Zonal BOA® Fit System with TX3 BOA® laces. Upper shell lacing is controlled by a BOA® H4 Coiler knob, and lower shell lacing is controlled by a BOA® M3 knob. by an M3 BOA® knob, allowing the rider to independently control the upper and lower zones of the boot for a perfect fit.
The exterior uses bulletproof HDR Premium synthetic materials to resist abrasion and extend the life of the snowboard boot. inside, our Intuition® Pro Foam 3D Liner can be thermoformed to fit the exact shape and size of your foot and ankle. We've added our heat-reflecting SpaceHeater™ material to the boot to help keep your feet warm and dry.
