Our selection of snowboard boots for men Burton, K2, and Nitro
You will find a large choice of snowboard boots from the Burton range, the reference in snowboard boots, thanks to their innovative speed lacing system, or their EST sole which increases the riding sensations tenfold. The K2 boots for their double boa closure system, for a support to the milimeter. Or the Nitro boots with their unbeatable value for money.
Some tips for a successful purchase of snowboard boots for men:
-The man size of your snowboard boot:
We often tend to believe that you should take a size above your usual size for snow boots (because of the big socks).
Big mistake !
No more socks knitted by granny, or two socks on top of each other...
Choose a good technical pair, reinforced in strategic places, thin and breathable.
Your foot will be dry, so warm and you will have a better sensitivity so more reactivity...
Put on the sock and tighten the sock and the boots, in standing position you should have the big toe touching the tip, flex (snow position) and then the foot retracts slightly and you are right size in your snowboard boots.
You can take the same size as your usual shoes ( or half a size more if you have wide feet ).
-The level:
For a beginner to expert snowboarder, you will choose a soft boot, because softness is synonymous with comfort, agility and tolerance.
For a good to expert snowboarder, you will go for a rigid and firm boot, because the more rigid a snowboard boot is, the better the support and the transmission of pressure. Some boots have reinforcements in the shaft, toe or heel to be very precise and solid.
-The program:
For freestyle, a boot that is not too stiff with laces will be more tolerant on landings, while for freeride, a stiff boot will be more reactive and precise on the changes of support.
To do a little of everything, an intermediate stiffness will be perfect.
