The great principle of the multi-layer, consists in juggling with 3 layers of clothing to face all types of climates:
-layer 1: technical underwear to evacuate perspiration ( Mizuno )
-layer 2 : The fleece, with a greater thickness to produce warmth ( Eider, Millet )
-layer 3 : The technical jacket, for the protection of external climatic aggressions, rain, snow and wind ( Eider, Millet, Volcom).
Just like the technical underwear (Mizuno), this 2nd layer (Eider, Millet) must evacuate perspiration and dry quickly, it will have the additional role of maintaining body heat.
As with the 1st layer, cotton and other natural fibres are banned in favour of synthetic.
The 3 most popular types of fleece are 100, 200 and 300, in terms of weight per square metre.
