A snowboard pack is the association of a snowboard and snowboard bindings.
Here are some tips to succeed in your purchase of snowboard pack Burton, Lib tech, dupraz, Apo, or Santa cruz

A few tips for a successful snowboard pack purchase:

-The program:

  • All mountain: versatile boards, equally at home on the piste, in the park or in freeride.all mountain freestyle, if you are looking for a more fun board to jumper as soon as possible. Or the all mountain freeride with a directional shape for grip and lift on all terrains.
  • Freestyle : if you are most often on the snowpark to work on your last tricks, and you are looking for a twin tip board (symmetrical) with big pop for flyer and tolerance for landings.
  • Freeride : You are as soon as possible out of the slopes on all snow conditions, you need a board with a directional shape in pintail, to have lift in deep snow and not to "fling" your legs too fast !

-Size:

There is no miracle formula, the size of the snowboard depends on your height, your weight and your program. The trend is towards the short, thanks to the new shape inverted camber, allowing a better handling.

For a freestyler with a height of 180 cm and a weight of 70 kg, take a board of about 156cm. For lighter weights, go for around 150cm. For heavy weights, around 163cm. But if you only ride powder, you will need a board of at least 165cm ( Duparz D1 style ) .

Here is a table to find your snowboard size:

-The camber :

4 years ago a new technology arrived on the market, which will revolutionize the sliding of snowboards: It is the inverted camber or rocker.

It allows to ride with a disconcerting ease in the powder thanks to a much more raised tip than in the classic camber, which buries much less from the front. It can also be used on a freestyle board to make it even more playful, lively and manageable. A godsend for freestylers and especially for those who spend their time on the rails. The inverted camber also makes the board more accessible and therefore easier to handle and deform, which is great for those who are new to freestyle or small. A more fun board, but of course less efficient on the piste if you are adept at carving and not safe or explosive enough on big kickers, if you spend your time in the air.

In short, whether it's for freestyle or freeride, the reverse camber is a revolution, which makes boards more productive in their program.

You'll also find the double reverse camber (or Burton's flying v), which is a reverse camber with a classic camber just below the bindings, giving you more liveliness while keeping more grip than a classic reverse camber.

And of course the classic camber that we already know, for those who want grip whatever the terrain and big pop in freestyle.

Some tips to succeed in your snowboard binding purchase:

-support:

Spoilers and straps are optimized to fit your snowboard boots as well as possible.
The higher you go, the more the shape and materials used in the straps and spoilers will ensure a good fit.

-Precision:

The stiffer your binding, the more precise your support transfers will be; the softer it is, the more forgiving it will be.

Comfort:

The most important characteristics to obtain a good comfort are the quality of the cushioning under the heel and the spoiler, the width of the straps and the density of the foam.
