Rossignol skis were born in 1907, by a certain Abel Rossignol, carpenter by trade. He adapted Scandinavian skis to our Alpine mountains, creating a wooden core called "sandwich", which is still relevant today!
Until the 60's, wood is still the king in the manufacturing of skis, then appears metal and the association of fiberglass and resin, which greatly improves the skiability.
In 1970, the Strato appeared, a revolutionary ski that was the first to give the impression of turning by itself! Then came the 4S and 7S series, which marked a whole generation of skiers, taking victory after victory in competition.
At the end of the 80s, the revolution is underway, the first parabolic skis appear, with the Bandit from Rossignol at the top of the list, the first multipurpose parabolic ski, it will be a hit and will open the way to multipurpose skis, which nowadays represent the largest market share.
But today it is history! The new Rossignol revolution is to lengthen the tip lift, the Rocker! Appeared 3 years ago on some models, it is generalized on the whole range this year. Its goal: always more fun and ease of use whatever the terrain!
