Thraxis' BOA® Zonal Fit System features three BOA® dials, two targeted zonal outer lacings and K2's controlled Conda™ liner lacing system. By placing a soft urethane "chip" around the 45° of the ankle, we allowed riders to micro-adjust the fit of their boot and eliminate heel lift. Enveloping the foot, we placed our toughest liner, composed of multiple densities of thermoformable Intuition® foam. This open-cell foam means it can be reshaped over and over again to achieve a perfect fit throughout the life of the boot. The lining features our breathable, heat-reflecting Spaceheater ™ material, keeping riders warm and dry all day long. And finally, we've incorporated 95% post-consumer SCafe™ recycled coffee mesh into the lining to help eliminate unwanted odors after a long day on the hill. Underfoot, the midsole combines lightweight, stable EVA and Harshmellow ™, an exclusive technology that helps absorb shock, increase cushioning and offer a "quieter" snowboarding feel.
The outsole of the Thraxis snowboard boot is our ALL-NEW Vibram® V5 outsole, offering unrivalled traction in the boot pack and is made from at least 30% recycled rubber thanks to the Vibram® Ecostep program.
