The Nidecker Supermatic is what snowboarding has been waiting for: the first universal double-entry automatic binding. Many brands have tried and failed to crack the step code. Most of these systems required specific boots; many didn't work well in powder; and none were as comfortable and reliable as an ordinary two-strap binding. We've spent four years developing our own solution to all these problems, and it's a real game-changer.
The Supermatic works with a triggered spoiler we call Drop In technology. Simply push your foot back and press the heel pedal to automatically engage the binding. That's it - you're ready to shred. A simple release lever makes getting out just as quick.
The straps have the same comfortable AuxTech design as our traditional high-end bindings. Adjust them once, then lock them in place with the locking pawls to enjoy a perfect fit every time.
The beauty of this system is that it works with any boot from any manufacturer, and there's no complicated clogging mechanism. If the slope or snow conditions require it, you can even attach them like an ordinary binding.
We've built the Supermatic using proven materials found throughout our range. The base plate is made from bulletproof glass-filled nylon, with a Slip-N-Grip plate that helps your toe slide over the pad for easy entry. Likewise, we've added a roller to the heel shell for smooth spoiler trigger operation. Finally, the Asym Hadron nylon spoiler is designed for a perfect fit, with responsive flex and an integrated forward tilt adjuster for complete customization.
All in all, it's a mid-rigid binding that the Nidecker team has called the most comfortable yet. We've tested it everywhere - on groomed slopes, steep and deep freeride lines and in the park - with input from riders of all types. Conclusion: this is a gear entry system you can trust.
