Our selection of snowboard boots Burton, K2, Ride, Nidecker

You will find a wide range of snowboard boots from the Burton lineup, the reference in snow boots, thanks notably to their innovative quick closure systems like speed lacing or Boa system, available in STEP ON or with their EST sole that enhances riding sensations.

K2 boots stand out for their double Boa closure system, offering a precise fit. Also available are Ride and Salomon boots with unbeatable quality-price ratio.

Other brands also present include HEAD, DC Shoes (also in Step On version), and SALOMON.

Some tips for successfully buying snowboard boots:

Your snowboard boots size: a decisive choice

Too many riders mistakenly think they should take a size larger to accommodate thick socks. This common error harms precision and comfort. Today, we forget the thick knitted socks from grandma and favor a technical sock — thin, breathable, and reinforced in the right areas.

When trying on, wear your boots with your technical socks. Standing, your toe should touch the front of the liner. When bending your legs (snowboarding stance), your foot slightly retracts and fits perfectly inside the boot.

For optimal precision, measure your foot in Mondopoint (MP), which corresponds to the length in centimeters. Don’t hesitate to go half a size up if you ride for long periods or if your feet swell at the end of the day. Wide feet will find suitable models in Wide versions available from several brands.

The essential role of snowboard boots

A central element of your equipment, snowboard boots provide comfort, support, and precision in transmitting your pressure. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or expert, they strongly influence your ease on the board.

Based on your level

  • Beginner - Intermediate: You are learning, with some edge mistakes. Choose soft and comfortable boots that facilitate learning and forgive errors.
  • Intermediate: You ride regularly on piste and edges. Select boots offering more support and a medium flex to better manage speed and terrain variations.
  • Expert: You master your board perfectly. Opt for stiff boots for total control and maximum pressure transmission.

Which flex for which practice?

The flex of the boot determines your riding style:

  • Freestyle / Park: Soft flex, flexible upper cuff to protect shins and enjoy pop.
  • All Mountain: Medium flex, ideal for alternating between piste and powder.
  • Freeride / Carving: Medium to stiff flex, for excellent support and increased precision.

Fitting tips

Try your boots with technical ski/snow socks to avoid pressure points. Standing, your big toe should touch the front of the boot. When leaning forward, your foot should slightly move back as your shins press on the cuff. If your heel moves a lot, the boots are probably too large.
