The Bond snowboard binding was developed with the help of riders like Gabe Ferguson, Parker Szumowski and Antti Jussila. The Bond is the most freestyle-oriented binding in our men's collection. It stands out for its lightness, flexibility and comfort. This versatile snowboard binding features a set of no-frills straps on a This Grips!™ vibration-damping sole.
By using eco-conscious and recycled materials instead of plastics and EVA, we've made significant strides in sustainability. Our manufacturing process relies on over 40% solar power, and our packaging is FSC-certified, using recycled cardboard and paper instead of plastics.
As a result, we've managed to impressively reduce the footprint of our fasteners - it's not perfect, but it's a step in the right direction:
- The Bond uses ~40% biobased materials by volume and ~25% by weight.
- SD1 ankle straps and Wrap toe straps cut CO2 emissions per kg by 70% compared with traditional TPU straps.
- The castor-oil-based Team Highback spoiler offers a 40% reduction in CO2 emissions per kg compared with a nylon backrest.
- Shockpad EVA offers a ~90% reduction in CO2 emissions per kg compared with traditional EVA.
- All K2 snowboard bindings come in 100% recyclable packaging.
- All K2 snowboard binding packaging is made from 95% FSC-certified recycled materials.
