Men's K2 Freeloader Split Package Snowboard White
Countless hours on the trail, lots of peaks and ridges, and more powder turns than we can count. It all adds up to this. The K2 Freeloader was designed to climb faster, descend cleaner and take you farther into the backcountry than any splitboard we've ever made.
The K2 Freeloader Splitboard package is built on the same unisex contour as our Marauder Split. A little taper in the Freeloader's tail helps it sink into the depths, while the wider nose stays well above the surface and explodes in choppy snow.
We wanted to build a splitboard that was both light and energetic, so we developed an all-new core for the Freeloader. Our ultra-light Paulownia TourLite core is wrapped in triaxial braided fiberglass with our ICG™️ 20 technology. By integrating 20 toe-to-heel carbon fiber stringers into the fiberglass, we add pop to the board without unnecessary weight for edging and traversing on firm slopes, and extra liveliness on descents. Our top-of-the-line top layer technology, called Snophobic™️, reduces snow build-up on top of the board while climbing to keep you moving fast and light. Less weight equals longer tours and more turns.
We've added Karakoram Ultra clips to the tip and tail to allow split skis to be compressed more tightly while at the same time reducing the force of opening and closing on your part. Once joined, the UltraClip™ fully retains your splitboard's seam to eliminate rattling, shearing and seam rolling. This makes your splitboard stronger than ever.
Finally, we complete the Freeloader with our carbon-infused 5500 sintered base, the hardest and fastest base in our collection. This material holds wax longer than a traditional sintered base, and a black base material along the running surface allows seamless repairs.
This Freeloader package comes complete with Voile-style washers, mounting hardware and pre-cut Pomoca™ 70/30 Mohair/Nylon Blend skins.
